CDP Response

Sysco has been a respondent to the CDP since 2013. In 2016, Sysco submitted its Climate and Water responses related to calendar year 2015 carbon emissions and water use.

In calendar year 2015, total carbon emissions declined by 3 percent, in part due to reductions in energy use that we attribute to our Energy Management program. Sysco received a C, or Awareness, score for its Climate response.

In calendar year 2015, water withdrawals during the period increased 2%, commensurate with overall case volume growth for the period. Sysco received a C, or Awareness, score for its Water response.

CDP, formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project, is a not-for-profit charity that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
